Hibiscus in Winter

You can find Hibiscus everywhere in Brasil. This is on our street in Águas da Prata. Hibiscus is a very popular and prolific flower. It is a favourite of artists and woodcarvers.

Hibiscus comes in Tree form and Bush form. These are just a few of them blooming in Winter.

There are few blossoms and leaves are thinning out too. These two photos were taken at Restaurante Arvorismo.

They are right at the Parking lot.

We have many colours of Hibiscus in Brasil.

I love Hibiscus, in the UK there are certain hardy varieties which do very well. Hibiscus Purple Ruffles has a beautiful abundance of ruffled flowers in mid to late summer. Hisbiscus Lavender Chiffon has a whole new look for Hardy Hibiscus with large, single lavender flowers with a lacy centre. At www.floraselect.co.uk we supply a large variety of hardy hibiscus, please check out our site
